This project is focused on providing an improved water supply to the Mayan village of Chipozo in Alta Verapaz, Guatamela, which  about 45 minutes northwest of the town of San Cristobal.  The project will use a solar-powered system to pump water to the community from a clean spring, a distance of one kilometer and 500 feet of elevation gain.  We need both participation in the effort and, of course, resources to fund the effort.   The budget is $59,000 and we have already raised $14,000, so only $45,000 to go!
